The Secretariat of the Pan African Youth Convention under the aegis of Youth Bridge Kenya (YBK) held the 1 st Pan African Youth Convention, at the Kenya School of Government, Nairobi from 8 th -12 th July
2024.
The convention was held under the theme; “Harnessing the Demographic Dividend of Africa; the Youth Inclusion Factor,” that was discoursed under five thematic areas;
i. Democracy and Governance
ii. Climate Change and Food Security
iii. Education, Knowledge Management and Culture
iv. Women in Leadership
v. Transformed Economies, Job Creation and Innovation
This convention brought together notable youth leaders with proven transformative and impactful programs, policymakers, academicians, top government officials, captains of industry, youth influencers, and young women leaders drawn from Africa and the African Diaspora.
Event Highlights
- Presidential Youth Dialogue with H.E Chief Olusegun Obasanjo Former President of Nigeria.
- Keynote addresses by African Eminent Personality Rt. Hon Raila Odinga, and the Former Vice President of Kenya H.E Dr. Stephen Kalonzo Musyoka and Florida State Representative Hon. Anna Eskamani.
- Parallel simultaneous workshop sessions on the 5 thematic areas and committee work with professional academic papers presentations and networking with trailblazers from Africa and Diaspora.
- Pan African Youth Awards Gala to celebrate and feat the achievements of young outstanding and exceptional individuals and iconic champions across the African continent.
